Homework
The children will bring home a homework folder which explains their homework for the week. Homework will be sent home as follows:
Reading
All children are expected to read for 15 minutes each day.
Recommended Reading Books
Spelling
Your child will bring home spellings in their homework books every other week with a list of spellings to practice. Please encourage them to look at each word, cover it and practice writing it, then check it. They will also have a spelling investigation every other week to complete. Regular spelling practice of a few minutes each night will make a big difference to your child's confidence and ability.
Maths
Children will bring home times table practice every other week. They will also have work linked to a Maths topic covered in class every other week.
Homework will be sent home on Friday and be due in the following Thursday. A spelling test will take place fortnightly.

Please ensure that your child has the appropriate kit for PE and that all clothing brought into school is clearly named.
Indoor kit: navy shorts, white polo top/ t- shirt and plimsolls.
Outdoor kit: navy sweatshirt and joggers, trainers and a white t- shirt/ polo shirt.
