On Friday 6th March, the local fire service visited our Year 2 children for an exciting and educational session which linked with their history topic about the Great Fire of London. The pupils learned about the important role firefighters play in keeping the community safe. They had the opportunity to look around a real fire engine and explore some of the equipment used by firefighters. The children also learned about the importance of smoke alarms and how to stay safe around fire. The visit finished with great excitement as the children had a chance to use the fire hose themselves! Thank you to the firefighters who gave their time to visit our children.
