Celebrating Sir David Attenborough's 100th Birthday

Last week, the children at Forest School had an extra special time celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. We shared the book of his life and then became mini nature explorers searching for the wildlife within Forest School. Some children were digging for fossils, just like Sir David, and then set up their own museum to display their amazing finds. The other children were super thoughtful and made Sir David a special birthday cake in the mud kitchen. We then went back to the classroom and the children were keen to learn more about him, so we watched a video of him with some animals and then we wrote about him.
