School Meals

All children eat their lunch in the hall and water is always available.

Children may bring a packed lunch in a plastic box and their own drinks in non-breakable containers but we ask you to avoid sending sweet, sticky or fizzy drinks.

Alternatively, the school offers a hot school meal service cooked daily in our own kitchen. A two course lunch is provided and there is a variety of options including fresh fruit and salad.  There is always a choice of meal and the menu for the week is displayed on the wall by the kitchen serving counter.

School dinner costs £2.10 per day.  Payment to be made via ParentPay once your account has been activated. Please pay in advance of the meals beings taken.

Menus are sent out termly.  Click here to view our Spring/Summer menu.

If your child is in Key Stage 1 (Foundation Stage, Years 1 & 2), they are entitled to a free school meal under the Government's Universal Free School Meal scheme.  Your child may also be entitled to free school meals if you are in receipt of certain benefits.  If you think you may be entitled, please complete an application form, sign it and hand it in at the school office.  We will check your entitlement via Oxfordshire County Council.

The relevant support payments are:

  • Income Support/Employment Support Allowance
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (please note this must be Income Based not just Job Seekers)
  • Support under the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
  • Child Tax Credit provided that Working Tax Credit is not included and that the “annual income for Tax Credit purposes” is within the guidelines set for the financial year (£16,190 from 1.4.12).  If you are in paid employment and/or in receipt of Working Tax Credit, it is unlikely that you will be entitled to free meals.
  • The ‘Guarantee’ element of State Pension Credit

We encourage healthy eating. Children are invited to bring fruit or a cereal bar for their morning break, no sweets or crisps please. Children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 receive a free piece of fruit every day. The school also provides a fruit bar for children in Years 1 to 6 where fruit, dried fruit mix, oat biscuits, cartons of fruit juice and bottled water can be purchased for 35p each item. Yazoo Milkshake will cost 60p.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club runs daily in the school hall and is available to all families at a cost of £1.50 per child, per day, from 7:45am.

We would remind parents that Breakfast Club starts at 7:45am and children should NOT be on site, unsupervised, before then.
